He can look back on a long career as an entrepreneur. Since 40 years, he substantially determines the development of the medium-sized company in southern Lower Saxony, Germany.

In 1972, he joined the company as Managing Director and co-partner. Since 2002, he is the sole owner of KÖNIG. Company KÖNIG has grown steadily under the leadership of Gerd-Hinrich Döscher. Annual growth rates in the double-digit percentage range were rather the rule than the exception.

 

KÖNIG employs 1,500 employees worldwide. Permanent expansion led to 13 sites in Germany and subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland. KÖNIG is a major provider of personnel services specialised on Technical Building Services and a leading producer of metal profile systems for interior construction.

Under the leadership of Gerd-Hinrich Döscher, leading market positions for both business areas were achieved and the KÖNIG brand consistently expanded. Also in the future, he will press ahead with the development of the company . The expansion strategy will continue unabated. In the product area, growth will be promoted through expansion of the product ranges. New business areas will be developed.

Being responsible for over 1,500 employees leaves him still little room for recreational activities. However, the entrepreneur uses his little leisure time to actively engage in sports to stay fit and healthy.
